Juancho Ramirez

Juancho holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and brings a well-rounded background of exercise and rehabilitation to the team. Having worked and volunteered with both St. Paul’s Healthy Heart Program and Strive SCI (Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Centre), Juancho understands that keeping the body moving can have a profound impact on an individual’s health and overall wellbeing.

“Something is always better than nothing. I’ve recently heard the saying that “motion is lotion” and any bit of movement you do is going to help the body move smoothly.”

Juancho loves challenging himself to improve and relishes in the opportunity to help others feel better, build confidence and feel empowered to move with confidence.

Juancho is a major sports fan and whether it is about professional sports, olympic sports or recreational frisbee or bocce ball, he’s ready to play.

“I am a “new” outdoor person who, over the past few years, has began to love being in the trees on the mountain, or floating on the calm waters. My favourite form of exercise is walking – there is something peaceful about a walk outdoors to enjoy the beautiful Vancouver scenery or nature and calm the mind from the worlds distractions while doing a surprisingly physically-beneficial activity.”
