Cally is the co-owner of Alive & Well Personal Training and began her career in fitness after graduating from the University of British Columbia with a bachelors degree in Human Kinetics. Specializing in Kinesiology and Health Science, her university experience was driven by her great admiration for the human body and her strong desire to help others find their own love for activity and health.
“When I was 15 years old, I was actually a client of Alive & Well Personal Training. I experienced lots of pain in my knees growing up so my doctor gave me a choice: correct the structural problems around my knees by undergoing intense surgery to break and reset both my legs, or start working with a personal trainer to learn how to strengthen the surrounding muscles and reduce the load on my joints. After an extremely short deliberation, I started working out with Alive & Well twice a week and that’s what sparked my interest in anatomy and eventually led me to my university major.”
From her experience on both sides of the equation, Cally understands that getting healthy and maintaining that lifestyle becomes so much easier when you have access to simplified information and a good support team.
“I firmly believe that no matter what else is going on in your life, your health always needs to take a top spot on your priority list. There will never be ‘the perfect time’ to get started, which is why it’s so crucial to have a strong support team working with you on your path to bettering yourself”.
