When did you realize you wanted to become a personal trainer?
I grew up playing soccer competitively and fell in love with fitness along the way. I especially appreciated fitness during my off-season when I needed to stay healthy and fit. Later on I realized how confident and empowered I felt when I felt strong and healthy and wanted to empower others to feel the same way.
Describe your coaching style
My coaching style is to help people get in a really good workout, feel empowered, and most of all have fun along the way.
The best part of being a coach is…
Helping people fall in love with the process of health and fitness. I love seeing clients mindsets switch from ‘having’ to workout to ‘I get to’ workout. It’s such a gift to move our bodies!
What’s your favourite way to be active outside of the studio?
Cycling or going for a long walk near water!
Best piece of advice for someone looking to start personal training?
Give it a go and see how you like it! If it’s not for you, that’s okay – at least you tried! And ask questions so you understand why you’re doing what you’re doing, as the whole process should always be about you and your goals.
