Do you help with advertising?

We have a Community Board in-studio that is available to display your advertising material. Beyond this, you will be responsible for all additional advertising.

Do I pay in advance or after the rental?

Payment for the full booking is required upfront in order to confirm the reservation for the requested day(s) and time(s). We will be in contact following your request submission to discuss payment options.

How do I book the studio for a recurring class?

If you would like to rent the space for an ongoing class, simply select the “recurring rental” option on your rental request. Please be specific when detailing the days and times that you are requesting, including the start date and end date (if applicable).

What is your cancellation policy?

Studio rentals that are cancelled within 48 hours of payment will be granted a full refund, minus a $10 service fee. Studio rentals that are cancelled with greater than 7 days prior to the scheduled booking time will be granted a 50% refund. No refunds will be granted within 7 days of the scheduled booking time.

STUDIO RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Rentals
“The Studio” can be rented for rehearsals, classes, workshops and other events/activities, as agreed upon. Set-up and cleanup times are included in the total time reserved and are the responsibility of “the Renter”. Space is not guaranteed until the Rental Agreement has been completed and signed by “the Renter” and payment has been made. “The Renter” is solely responsible for providing his/her own participants and for marketing his/her own events, classes, and activities.

2. Hours and Occupancy
The Studio will be available for rentals on a space-available basis during the days and times indicated in the Appendix.

“The Renter” agrees to be present in “the Studio” at all times during the agreed upon rental times and will not hold, and will not permit, classes or events involving persons in excess of the number of persons that are permitted by applicable fire and/or building codes in “the Studio” (15). “The Renter” assumes all responsibility for the building during the rented hours.

3. Payment
All rentals of “the Studio” must be paid in full in advance in order to confirm booking and a valid credit card must be kept on file.

4. Cancellations
Studio rentals that are cancelled within 48 hours of payment will be granted a full refund, minus a $10 service fee. Studio rentals that are cancelled with greater than 7 days prior to the scheduled booking time will be granted a 50% refund. No refunds will be granted within 7 days of the scheduled booking time.

5. Equipment and Props
For a list of items available for use by “the Renter”, please refer to the Appendix. All equipment used should be returned to their original locations at the end of your rental time.

If “the Renter” is bringing in props, they must be constructed in such a way that they cause no damage to “the Studio”, including but not limited to the floor, walls, mirrors and windows. All props must have felt padding or protective covering on any part that rests on the floor or against the wall. Nothing may be leaned against the mirrors or windows.

6. Shoes
Shoes with metal caps or cleats must be removed upon entering “the Studio”. Only normal street shoes, soft-soled, non-marking, dance or athletic shoes are allowed.

7. Food and Alcohol
Food to be served on premises must be approved by an agent of "the Studio" prior to the date of rental. No alcohol is permitted to be served on premises.

8. Smoking/Incense/Flames
There is absolutely no smoking permitted anywhere inside “the Studio” or within 10 feet of the front door and absolutely no incense, candles or open flames of any sort.

9. Access
“The Renter” must schedule a day and time prior to the first confirmed booking date for pickup of the front door key and must return the key within 48 hours of the end time of the rental. Failure to return the key will result in a charge for the total cost incurred to change the lock.

10. Security
“The Renter” assumes responsibility for the security of “the Studio” during each rental period. “The Renter” is required to return “the Studio” to a secure state upon leaving by making sure the door is locked.

11. Emergencies
For any emergency situations including accidents, health crises, criminal activities, or fire, call 911. There is a phone available at “the Studio”, though incoming calls will not be received prior to 7:00am or after 8:00pm. It is advised to have a cell phone close at hand.

12. Damage
“The Renter” assumes full responsibility for use of “the Studio” and agrees to pay for any damage caused to any part of the entryway, studio, bathroom, stereo equipment, floors, windows, mirrors, walls, ceilings, etc. sustained during “the Renter’s” scheduled studio time and time in “the Studio”.

“The Renter” agrees to pay in full for repair or replacement of any item, equipment or structure damaged by “the Renter” or by performers, collaborators, participants, students or guests invited to “the Studio” by “the Renter”. Full payment for damage shall be made within thirty (30) days of the damage.

13. Liability
“The Renter” assumes full liability for any and all injuries sustained by any persons “the Renter” invites to “the Studio”, including but not limited to: performers, collaborators, participants, students or guests. “The Renter” may be requested to provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance with a minimum $2,000,000 of coverage and name Alive & Well Personal Training Inc. as an “additional insured”. If requested, a copy of the insurance certificate must be submitted prior to your rental.

14. Housekeeping
“The Renter” assumes responsibility for returning “the Studio” to excellent condition before they leave the premises. All lights, speakers, the heater/air conditioning, fans and electrical equipment must be turned off. Trash and litter must be removed to the garbage in the back room. Please vacuum and mop, if necessary, and leave “the Studio” in the best possible condition. If the condition of “the Studio” at the end of your rental is unsatisfactory and requires further cleaning, “the Renter” will be charged an additional cleaning fee.

15. Contracts
“The Renter” will sign and submit this contract as well as the Renter Release and Waiver before using the Alive & Well Personal Training studio facility.

16. Future Policy Changes
Alive & Well Personal Training Inc. reserves the right to change the above rental policies at any time to reflect the needs and concerns of “the Studio”, community and other renters. “The Renter” will be informed of changes to rental policies.
