Canada Day Events

1. Canada Day at Canada Place (Vancouver)

This year mark’s the 28th annual event held at Canada Place and they’re proud to boast that these festivities constitute the country’s largest birthday celebration outside of Ottawa. Hosting a full day’s worth of free fun, Canada Place will be teaming with good trucks, a street hockey game, and live music across three stages, including performances by Hannah Georgas and Don Amero.

When: 10:00am to 6:00pm

2. 7th Annual Canada Day Parade (Vancouver)

A city favourite, the 2015 Canada Day Parade will feature over 50 entries to showcase the diversity and multiculturalism that connects all Canadians.

When: 7:00pm
Where: Downtown Vancouver; West Georgia and Burrard Street (see link for a map of the parade route)

3. Granville Island Canada Day Celebration (Vancouver)

Round up the family and head down to Granville Island to enjoy a full day of free jazz performances, face painting, celebrations and a street parade.

When: 8:00am to midnight

4. Surrey Canada Day (Surrey)

A full day of live entertainment, the Surrey Canada Day Festival closes out with performances by Blue Rodeo, The Zolas and a Tragically Hip tribute.

5. Canada Day Red and White Picnic (West Vancouver)

Pack your own picnic or get in on the community barbecue as you take in the live entertainment of this West Van festival.

6. Canada Day Concert at Swangard Stadium (Burnaby)

Catch live performances by 54-40, Jon and Roy and Mostly Marley while wandering through the numerous activities, face painting booths and community tents that will be set up with games and prizes.

When: Doors open at 5:00pm; show starts at 6:30pm

Canada Day Fireworks Vancouver

1. Vancouver

Two barges of pyrotechnic brilliance, this fireworks show is sure to ignite your love for this incredible country. Grab your radios and set the dial to Classic Rock 101 for the simulcast audio experience.
